Donations in Memory of Jesse

As a family, we are forever grateful for the loving care and support of the Ronald McDonald House and Katie Wyatt Memorial Foundation.

The Ronald MCDonald House has a beautiful convenient location within UofM’s, CS Mott Children’s Hospital which provided us much rest and comfort. Every time Jesse was admitted to the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), we were offered a room for sleeping. Scott and I rotated shifts so one of us could always be with Jesse. We are so thankful for the private space, rest, free coffee and snacks. If you are looking for a worthy cause to donate, this is one we would highly recommend. Locally, they can always use travel kits you might get from some airlines (toothpaste, toothbrush, little shampoo, conditioner, lotion). Or they can always use boxes of granola bars, crackers, ready-to-eat cans if soup. Another option is to visit their website to make a monetary donation:

The Katie Wyatt Memorial Foundation (KWMF) has also provided our family with wonderful support and a personal connection. The KWMF family inspired many of Jesse’s smiles…from their visits to the hospital, painted t-shirts for Jesse, familial support, the newspaper articles spreading leukemia awareness, the 2012 Golf Fundraiser gifts and of course, the connection to Georges St-Pierre (GSP). He is a Canadian mixed martial artist and the current Welterweight Champion of the UFC.
KWMF was all prepared to get Jesse and GSP together but time ran out. Jesse very much appreciated the 10 minute phone call and two video messages he received from GSP… He thought that was exciting! If you would like more information on this foundation, please visit their website and consider making a donation so they may continue blessing more children with cancer and their families in the future.
