Leukemia % Increased

Today is our first full day back together as a family…it’s so nice to be whole again. We have agreed that we are sticking together…the next trip will be as a foursome!

Scott took Jesse to U of M for his blood test this morning and the test results were less than desirable. The leukemia blasts are back in his bloodstream. He has had 0% blasts since the last chemo regimen. Today, it is now at 4%. This means the leukemia in his bone marrow and spinal fluid has leaked over into his blood. Jesse has complained of some headaches and has felt more tired lately. We will continue to monitor his symptoms and support his choice to discontinue further chemotherapy because his body has rejected it all.

In the meantime, we will Celebrate Life… his, ours, ours as a family. I thank God for the many, many blessings He has given us since the diagnosis…the time, the bonds with family & friends, the new relationships with the Lord, and the memories.

I have a special request…Would you please lift Jesse’s sister up in prayer? Her heart is so heavy. <333

    A Prayer for Savannah
O Eternal God, We thank you for our sister, your faithful servant Savannah. You filled her with compassion for Jesse’s suffering and you gave her patience and cheerfulness to lift his emotional and physical condition. Lord, give Savannah the strength and faith to heal her heavy laden heart so she can carry the heavy load that is on her shoulders. Father, as Savannah wrestles with the struggles of life, make her keenly aware of your presence and abundant mercy. O God, help Savannah to follow Jesus’ example, finding peace and stillness in her evercaring life. Thank you God, for providing Savannah what she needs to care and love for her brother Jesse and to find everything for serving you, her family, her friends. In Christ, hermann

Hello Jesse, each day is a gift to you so enjoy it and say yes to life. The clouds vanish when you see yourself as the handsome person you are. Remember when there is a hill to be climbled there will be strength to climb it. Your most valuable possession is your attitude, youy faith, your believe in Jesus, your Savior. With it you win or lose. Fill your mind with thoughts of peace, joy and hope. Make gratitude a part of your day and give thanks for your blessings. In Christ, hermann

As I walk in such simular shoes as Jesse, I understand exactly all the different emotions that you all are feeling each and everyday.I stopped chemo lastyear ,July 28th and wasn’t expected to live long.As you probably remember, I too have ALL with + Philidelpha.I haven’t went back to an oncologist since then, I felt like I was going to put it in the Lords Hands completely, and so I haven’t been tested.I think of your family often. You are so blessed to be able to make all those special trips, I am so happy that Jesse is enjoying all the things that he and I missed at the same time, ESPECIALLY EATING 🙂 I am enjoying that too.I will pray a special prayer for your family tonight because I know that everyday feels almost bitter sweet because we have so much going on in our mind and hearts.I hope to be able to take my kids on a special trip sometime too and then come home and make scrapbooks, you all are making me see that…even if it has to be a camping trip upstairs! Although I have never met any of you, both of us having lived in Roxboro, almost even makes the connection I feel stronger.Just know I’m here praying. Please tell Jesse that I am still here too and never give up hope or lose your faith because God still does miracles no matter what those tests say!I’m also on facebook if you ever need to talk , I’m just a few clicks a way. Love Michelle Council
