Lab Results

November 27th Jesse was released from the hospital under Hospice care. At that time he was still very weak and recovering from the Clofarabine chemotherapy treatment. We were taking a risk to pack him up and head to Kentucky for his family farm reunion, but it was his wish. During that weekend God blessed us with the most perfect weather, sunshine, fresh air and the love of family and friends seemed to be the real medicine he needed which helped him get stronger each day. And then to be granted a Hunt of a Lifetime, again fed his soul with more outdoor activity.

With all Jesse has been involved in, we opted not to get blood work until this week. There were two different frames of mind. We could get the blood drawn and get good results or bad results before Christmas or wait to get the blood test after Christmas. We took the risk and received wonderful news…currently, Jesse does not have leukemia in his blood stream!!! So, that means his body is not being overwhelmed with the cancer. We are not requesting bone marrow biopsies or spinal fluid taps so it is unknown if the leukemia is still there. I continue to pray for healing…knowing God is in the miracle business, tho trusting His will.

We will continue to plan activities so Jesse can spend precious time with family and friends. One of his dreams is to visit my brother, his Uncle Jason, and Aunt Cecily and cousins Tucker, Zanna and baby Ozzie in Maui. So, while he feels good we will attempt to plan for his next adventure. He is very excited about the possibility and a true Jesse smile glowed when we described a Hawaiian luau :-).

My heart is overflowing with gratitude for all of the love, prayers and support everyone has covered our family with. I love what our Pastor shared last weekend…

First…Righteousness > then…Peace > finally…Joy

Do what is righteous in the eyes of the Lord (loving, praying, supporting, etc.) > Peace will calm your heart as you trust in the Lord > Joy will naturally come, even during the most difficult circumstances. ~ I encourage everyone to see the silver lining in everything…otherwise, life will be the opposite of Righteousness, Peace & Joy.

Much love <333 (Jeremiah 33:3) ~Ingrid

While I read Jesse’s journey I think of our Jess she was 17 when she was diagnosed with ALL. Jesse’s reminds me of our Jess they are very much alike. Jess is in Heaven now and is in much better shape than all of us. Tell Jesse that he is blessing my heart with his story and we are praying Gods healing for all of you.

Hang TEN, Jesse. I hope and pray and pray and pray that you can. Miracles still happen. Two and a half years ago, I was recommended for Hospice Care and now, I am a volunteer for Hospice. Thank you, Lord, the source of all true joy, and thank you for our Christian family, for the love and support they share with Jesse and us. O God, thank you for your provision for Jesse’s and all our well-being. Let us be faithful in applying these spiritual resources to Jesse and our life. Lord, look at each of us through eyes filled with love. Dear Lord, your wisdom will forever guide Jesse, his family, his friends, and may we always find true rest in you. Have a good trip, Jesse, and may the Lord satisfy your needs on the sunny beaches and strengthen your body like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. In Christ, hermann
