7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness 8 and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.

Thank you, God, for calling Jesse by name and giving him your personal attention. Accept our humble gratitude through Christ our sheppard and Lord, whose birthday we celebrate in just a few days. Father God, how can we ever thank you for all you have done for Jesse, his family, all his friends? Show Jesse and us how to live with thankfulness in our hearts. May that gratitude spill over and touch everyone around us. How many blessings can we count today? Lord Jesus, take whatever faith we have and make it grow day by day. Show us the other side of doubt and struggle the door into deeper faith. Loving God, help Jesse and us to know you more fully.
