20th Day of Induction
Yesterday’s spinal tap results have come back and there is still leukemia in Jesse’s spinal fluid. This is the third time in a row it’s come back 1%.
The doctors feel his body has built up a resistance to the spinal injected Methotrexate and they would like to add the chemo AraC to the combination this Friday. Well, that brings up a concern…
It was the Methotrexate & AraC that was given back at the end of January that caused the renal failure, chemo toxicity and neurological damage. The only reason we are considering it is because it’s a small dose and the Methotrexate they have been using is not enough alone.
We have until tomorrow to decide.

Jesse, My very good friend Scott E. shared your story with me. My heart is heavy reading your journey. There are so many kids fighting when they should just be enjoying being kids. My son Lane fought a horrible “monster” Rhabdomyosarcoma for 2 1/2 years. Wanted you to know that we will have you in our prayers. Hi Jesse, I’m praying for you and doing the crossing fingers for you I hope everything goes well with your treatment. I myself was diagnosed with cancer in jan this yrand its a long hard journey with not a lot of nice things involved. I saw a prayer request for you on Facebook so I came by to let you know I will be praying for you and for your parents to make the correct decision concerning which direction to walk in. Know with so many people interceding for you the decision you make is the one God wants you to do, have faith in Him.
My Father,
You are the great Healer and Creator of all. You are in control and as You Word says if two or more people agree on a thing it will be done. Daddy, there are more than two people agreeing on Your guidance for the decision to be made concerning the direction in choice of medicine to be taken. You, my God, control the process and show Jessie and his family the right choice. Blessings Lord, I ask for Your blessings to fall down on Jessie and for Your Holy Spirit to burn this leukemia out of Jessie’s body.
