Prayer Vigil ~ Tomorrow ~ Wed. Nov. 7th

There will be a prayer vigil tomorrow evening between 7-8 p.m. for Jesse Hourigan.

Please join us at the Burt Methodist Church in Burt, Michigan.  All are welcome…

If you can’t make it, I encourage you to pray where you are…

Praying is simply communicating with God.  Pray from the heart, freely, spontaneously, and in your own words.  There is no right or wrong way to pray…standing, kneeling or bowing…eyes opened or closed, quietly or out loud—however you are most comfortable.

Come with a humble heart ~ 2 Chronicles 7:14  If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Come wholehearted ~ Jeremiah 29:13  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Matthew 6:7  “When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered only by repeating their words again and again.”

Ecclesiastes 5:2  Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.”

Zechariah 13:9  I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure, just as gold and silver are refined and purified by fire. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘These are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The LORD is our God.’ “

Matthew 26:41  Keep alert and pray. Otherwise temptation will overpower you. For though the spirit is willing enough, the body is weak!”

Romans 8:26-27  In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”

Acts 1:14  “They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.”

Heavenly Father, watch with us over your child Jesse, and grant that he may be restored to that perfect health which is yours alone to give. By the might of of your command drive away all sickness, all infirmity from Jesse’s body. Be present in your goodness with your servant Jesse, that his weakness may be banished and his strength restored, and his health being renewed, he may bless your holy Name. Thank you Lord, for your constant care and wherever Jesse goes, your hand shall lead him, and us, and your right hand shall hold Jesse, his fanily, all his friends. Lord, help Jesse to know that wherever he is and whatever he does, you care more for him than he can care for himselves. O God, when we face problems, open our eyes to see you, and you alone.
    In Christ,
    hermann
