October 23rd continues…

Many, many times in the past Jesse has received blood transfusions without incident but today was the day for a full on transfusion reaction.  I won’t go into all of the details but I will say his fever spiked to over 105 degrees and stayed at 103 for hours.  IV meds, fluids and body ice packs all contributed to breaking that fever.

But after Jesse’s fever broke, his blood pressure significantly dropped which put us back into the Intensive Care Unit for monitoring and care.
