Chemo Prep Today

In preparation for Jesse’s chemotherapy, several tests and procedures had to be completed.  Last night, he received a CAT scan.  Today, Jesse went to OR for an arterial line placement, his Neostar IV line removed, a lumbar puncture with a small dose of chemo, pulmonary flush and specimen sample.  The results of these tests will determine the potential chemo course of action.  If all results come back without significant issue, he will have a kidney scan in the morning to verify chemo doses and then the chemotherapy regimen will begin in the afternoon.

Within the last week, the leukemia levels have ranged from 40 – 78% in his peripheral blood.

Dear Jesse, when we cry, God shares our tears and our pain. We are at this point right now and we have to quote Revelation 21:4:” (God) will wipe every tear from their eyes, There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain”. Don’t give up Jesse. Fight with every beat of your heart, with every breath you take. O God, we thank you for being with us when we suffer, for your gift of healing, for every challenge we face. Lord, teach us to recognize and listen to your voice so we hear you encouraging us as we follow your leading in our lives. Loving God, remind Jesse and us that we don’t tread the path of life alone. You are with Jesse always and ever. Thank you for the certainty of your love. Dear Lord Jesus, help Jesse to see your face daily as he needs your love, mercy, and healing hands. Thank you Lord, for the certain hope Jesse and we have in you for all the needs in this life and for eternity.Dear Father God, give Jesse, his family, his friends the help to stay close to you through prayer. Lord, help us to rest in the hope that will joy out of our sorrow. In Christ, hermann

I lift up my voice and my spirit with yours, Hermann, and join you in that prayer to our merciful God.
