Prayers have been Answered!
Jesse has received his first dose of Ponatinib this afternoon! Mountains were moved… calls were made, e-mails sent, applications completed, U of M trial procedures established and approved, waiver for a minor accepted, medication shipped & arrived from London and medication finally dispensed from U of M, so Jesse did not have to relocate to a different hospital. He is the first minor using this medication with hopes of zeroing in on the Philadelphia Chromosome and attacking the leukemic cells. For the next couple of days we will be closely monitoring for any potential side effects and encouraging Jesse to continue with this therapies. Hopefully, within the 2-3 weeks he will be able to be monitored from home.
It is so important for this medication to be effective…
I thank God in advance for our answered prayers. I thank you all, for your faithful outreach to Jesse and our family.
2 Corinthians 1 >> New Living Translation
God Offers Comfort to All
“3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 5 For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. 6 Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. 7 We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us…
11 And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for (Jesse’s health) our safety.”
