In remembrance of our sweet Jesse… I am remembering and am so very grateful for all of you. Family, friends, strangers and unknown prayer warriors stood by our sides… prayed for us, loved us, supported us, took care of us, protected us in so many different ways. People say that is gets easier over time but it does not get easier for me… I will always have an empty place in my heart until we met again.
I know that I (we) would not be where we are today without you and ultimately the love and promise of Jesus. He shined through you and your families. I wish there was some way I could repay but any payment would be inadequate because what was done for us was priceless. So today, we were blessed in Prayer ~ Paying it Forward ~ to you all. We pray that you too know how much you are loved and appreciated. We pray for you and your families to be blessed with good health, priorities that would honor your individual families and that you also feel the comfort and peace only our Lord can provide in times of suffering and trials.
Thank you for loving Jesse and our family by sharing this special day with us and lighting candles ~ Sharing His Light ~ We love you all!❤

All candles requested have been packaged and will be mailed tomorrow. They should arrive in about 5 days. Please know that I do have a few more available. If you would like one, I’d be happy to send one your way…. Sharing His Light!
On March 6, 2016, at 3:33pm, we will be honoring Jesse’s memory with our own private candle lighting and time of prayer. I think it would be awesome if we were all praying for each other at the same time from our own homes. If the exact time doesn’t work out for you, anytime during the day would be a blessing.
Many have reached out confirming participation and have requested one of his special scented candles. This really blesses my heart to have your love & support. At this point, I have enough candles for everyone!
I can’t express my appreciation enough to all of you that have prayed and traveled along with us on our journey. On March 6th, I will be giving thanks and praying specifically for you. Please feel free to send prayer requests to me privately or post specific prayer needs below so we can all lift you up.
Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
With Jesse’s 3rd year anniversary in Heaven coming up next month, I would like to do something simple but yet special.
I remember when Jesse first started high school the big issue was… “What group do I fit in with?” That question seemed crucial to him because he didn’t grow up in North Carolina and had not established childhood friendships. “Mom, What am I?”, he would ask. “Am I a country boy, jock, prep…” I always encouraged him to be himself, not try to fit in with one group. And that is exactly what Jesse did. He could talk & sing country, sling mud from the truck tires, shoot a squirrel mid air jumping from tree to tree, throw a mean curveball, hit a home run, and he loved shopping at the mall so he could dress to the nines. BUT no matter the occasion, Jesse always wanted to smell good. He was very particular about smells and the fragrance I remember the most on him was A&F Fierce.
Consequently, while embarking on my soy candle making venture, I started making Jesse’s A&F cologne scented candles. They smell so good and bring back wonderful memories.
On March 6, 2016, Jesse’s 3rd anniversary in Heaven, we will be lighting one of his special scented candles in commemoration of our love for him. During this time we will be giving thanks for all of our blessings and praying for you.
If you would like to join us, we would love to Share His Light! I am making a special batch of travel size candles with Jesse’s cologne fragrance, and will mail them out to the first requests. Please contact me as soon as possible with your mailing address. One option is to privately provide your address under the ‘Send Us a Message’ tab in the top right corner of this page.

So many times I have been asked how I keep going after Jesse went to Heaven. It has been interesting to see how God has provided me with peace and an open mind to explore my creative side. Acrylic painting, chalk art, travel photography, seasonal crafts, cooking and now candle making…they all have been wonderful outlets.
Candles are one of my favorite things. Most every morning before I make coffee, I light a candle and read a daily calendar scripture. Needless to say, candles are a necessity. This year I was inspired by our girl, Makenzie Sanford, to make my own soy candles. It has been so fun to learn the process. Vanilla, citrus, cinnamon and most recently Jesse’s favorite cologne fragrance have been my scents of choice.
I share my handmade candles…to keep my Jesse’s memory burning.
